Daisy
Biography
Hi! My name is Daisy, and I am a sophomore in Pforzheimer House (the best house!) studying Sociology with a minor in Ethnicity, Migration, and Rights. I am a South Carolina native, but my parents are from Hidalgo, Mexico. I am involved in Latinas Unidas de Harvard College, The Harvard Crimson - Flyby Board, Harvard College Women in Law, The Harvard Band. Outside of school, I like to embroider, stream shows, and attend concerts. As a first-generation student, I understand how intimidating the college application process can seem. I remember not even wanting to apply to Harvard because very few students from my area ever attended out of state colleges. With that said, I understand how difficult it is to navigate through an unfamiliar process — which is why I now work with the Admissions Office to help students understand the ropes. I’m here to offer my support from a first-gen, out-of-state student perspective. Please don’t be afraid to reach out with any questions you may have!
This is my junior year desk where I have my trusty monitor where I did most of my readings. But the TV served as a great medium to watch comfort movies and shows.
During my internship at the Harvard Admissions Office, I met great people who continue to be my close friends.
