In Brief: Academic Integrity Week 2026
Harvard College Marks Second Annual Academic Integrity Week
Harvard College and the Harvard College Honor Council will host the second annual Academic Integrity Week, kicking off on Monday, March 30, and convening students, faculty, and staff for a series of conversations and community-focused events centered on academic honesty and fostering a culture of integrity.
Held across campus, the week features five flagship events running Monday through Thursday: a student workshop on crafting effective and ethical exam resources; a faculty workshop on applying Honor Council case insights to teaching; an open house hosted by the Honor Council; a fireside conversation with Danoff Dean of Harvard College David Deming; and a student-focused session on writing papers with integrity. Together, these events highlight practical strategies, real-world scenarios, and open dialogue around expectations in academic work.
“Veritas is a shared responsibility. Academic Integrity Week brings together students, faculty, and staff to talk openly about expectations and challenges, with the goal of placing a genuine culture of integrity at the heart of our work,” said Qussay Al-Attabi, the Assistant Dean and Secretary of the Honor Council at Harvard College.
Organized by the Office of Academic Integrity and Student Conduct (OAISC), the initiative underscores Harvard College’s ongoing commitment to fostering a culture where integrity is actively practiced, discussed, and upheld across the academic community.
