ROTC at Harvard
Serve your country and gain valuable leadership experience through the Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC). At Harvard, ROTC is an officially recognized student activity and your military service is regarded as a form of public service.
A military partner since 1916
Harvard and ROTC share a long relationship. Army ROTC was established on campus in 1916 and the University was one of the six original partner institutions of Naval ROTC in 1926. We have since provided the military with some of its best-educated officers.
Joining Harvard ROTC
While all battalions and detachments are located at nearby MIT, Navy and Army ROTC have offices on Harvard’s campus.
To join ROTC at Harvard, cross-register with one of the three service programs: Air Force ROTC, Army ROTC, or Navy ROTC.
