What was your professional path after college?
I wasn't really sure what I wanted to do after college. I started applying for jobs in the Boston area because I knew I wanted to stay. I landed at a small tech company where I worked in Operations. I was surrounded by opportunities to learn how to code so I started teaching myself how to code. About a year ago I starting working as a Frontend Engineer.
What fills your time now - professionally and personally?
Outside of work, usually learning new coding languages, traveling, hiking and reading. I also recently picked up playing pickleball!
How did your academic experience at Harvard guide you in your post-grad pursuits?
Being a student athlete really shaped me to become a better person overall. Skills such as time management, good communication, and facing adversity were all things I learned while being an undergrad and these all carried into my post-grad life. I find myself leaning on the lessons I learned during undergrad in both my professional and personal life all the time.
What were you involved in extracurricularly?
For a couple years I was a volunteer for Camp Kesem, which is an organization that helps raise money for kids whose parents have cancer. They have a week long summer camp in the summer. One of my roommates started a chapter at Harvard.
What is a favorite memory of Harvard House life?
I really enjoyed Fete in Eliot house. It was always a nice way to end the school year with a great community!
