The application deadline for costs incurred during the 2024-2025 school year is May 23, 2025.

If you have outside awards that exceed your term-time work expectation in the current academic year, the remaining amount would normally replace an equal amount of Harvard scholarship. However; you may apply for a one-time exception to Harvard's outside award policy during your enrollment at the College. This exception allows you to apply up to an additional $1,500 of your outside awards toward the purchase of educationally relevant technological devices before your Harvard Scholarship is adjusted for the year. You may only apply for this exception once during your time as a student at Harvard College, and the purchase must be made within the academic year in which you apply for this exception. You may not be eligible for this program if your outside awards exceed your financial need. 

How to Apply:

1. If you have not yet informed the Financial Aid Office of the outside awards you will be receiving this year, please visit the Outside Awards Reporting System under the Financial Aid tab of your My.Harvard student portal to do so.
2. Complete the form below, and upload copies of all itemized and dated receipt(s) documenting your purchase. Examples of eligible items include a computer, computer case, software, printer, warranties, shipping, and taxes. For any other items, please provide an explanation of their educational need in the space below. 

If your Harvard Scholarship has already been reduced by outside awards and your petition is approved, the reimbursement will appear on your term bill as an increase in your Harvard Scholarship. There will not be a separate "computer reimbursement" credit.
