Hi all! I’m Jailene (or J for short), a first-year planning to study astrophysics and applied math, while fulfilling pre-medical requirements (this is still tentative). I was born and raised in Las Vegas, so I am eager to experience seasons here in Massachusetts. I am Mexican-Guatemalan, a member of the LGBT community, and a first-generation, low income student. Outside of UMRP, I am involved in cosmology research at the Radcliffe Institute, The Undergraduate Research Journal, Emerging Scholars Program, and community service organizations through the Phillips Brooks House Association. I am excited to answer any questions you may have!
