Hi everyone! My name is Nina and I’m originally from Iowa City, Iowa. I’m a rising sophomore at the College living in Quincy House and I’m studying History and Literature (which is a combined concentration here) with a secondary in education. On campus, I’m a leader for the First-Year Outdoor Program (FOP) which is one of several pre-orientation programs for incoming first-years. I also do research at the Graduate School of Education and enjoy writing in any capacity possible! When I’m not hitting the books I absolutely love getting outside, whether it be through hiking a nearby mountain or taking a quick bike ride through Cambridge. I also really, really, love food and I’m a Food Literacy Project Fellow for Quincy House, which means I get to talk about food all the time! If I’m not doing any of that around campus, you can most likely catch me writing a lengthy Yelp review about a new restaurant in the area. I’ve been fortunate enough to have experienced so many wonderful parts of Harvard after just one year, but I remember just how daunting Harvard once seemed. I’m so excited to help calm any anxieties you may have and show you just how much Harvard can become home. Feel free to reach out to me with any questions. I look forward to hearing from you!
