Biography
Hey everyone! My name is Tioluwalase (Lase for short) Adelakun, and I am a junior residing in Winthrop House. I was born in Nigeria and moved to Illinois in 2013. I am studying Psychology as well as English with the hope of pursuing a career in Clinical Psychology as well as creative writing once my time at Harvard is up. Harvard has allowed me to pursue a variety of my interests which include reading/writing poetry, exploring and working with music as well as making use of my love and experience working with mental health. Beyond that, I have been able to explore my interests through my academics as I have been able to take a wide variety of courses during my time here. Finally, I serve as the Vice President of the Black Men's Forum, as a Co-Director for a peer counseling group, and I have served on the auxiliary board of the Nigerian student's association and these roles have not only deepened my relationship with these groups but has allowed me to learn about my identity. Please reach out to me with any questions about identity or life at Harvard!
