Hey everyone! My name is Tioluwalase (Lase) Adelakun and I am a senior in Winthrop house studying Psychology with a secondary in English. I was born in Nigeria and moved to Illinois in 2013 and have been an avid fan of Chicago culture (sports, music, and art) since. I’m writing a thesis on a novel self-compassion-based poetry intervention for Black adults in the U.S and I am really interested in both poetry and mental health work on campus.
