“Fall 2020 Off-Campus Recap,” a video by Chelsea Offiaeli ‘22, Nadine Bahour ‘22, and Jenny Yoon ‘23, provides a window into the off-campus student experience during the Fall 2020 semester.
While a cohort of enrolled students lived on-campus during the Fall of 2020, the majority of undergraduates were learning remotely from a variety of locations around the world. In this video, 6 students, representing all class years, reflect on both the highlights and the hardships of living away from Harvard’s campus, and share photos from their off-campus adventures.
While many of these students learned to cook for the first time, reconnected with family and friends, safely explored new cities, and spent time outdoors, they also struggled with differences in time zones and remote learning difficulties. Though Harvard friendships and in-person interactions were greatly missed, these students remain hopeful about the future, patiently awaiting the day they will arrive on Harvard’s campus once again.
