Biography

Hello friends! My name is Lizbeth, and I am a senior in Currier House studying Environmental Science and Engineering. I am from Richmond (CA), the City of Pride and Purpose, located in the East Bay. I was born and raised in California, but my family is from Michoacán, Mexico. On campus I am involved with Engineers Without Borders, Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers, work at the Harvard Box Office and the Admissions & Financial Aid Office, and am a part of various clubs like Harvard RAZA and Latinas Unidas. During my free time, I love to explore Boston/Cambridge, go on runs, hang out with my friends, and try new recipes! As a first-gen and low-income student, I know that navigating Harvard can seem daunting and overwhelming. I’m grateful to have a community of other students with similar experiences who have made Harvard feel like home and taught me to embrace every experience. I know that exploring college options and navigating the application process can bring a lot of questions and unfamiliar feelings, but we are here to support you! I look forward to answering questions, sharing my experiences, and connecting with you.
