Biography

Hi everyone! My name is Maryam and I am a first-generation, low-income (FGLI) junior at Harvard College! I am an Algerian-American student. I am a proud resident of Kirkland House! At Harvard, I am on the pre-med track, concentrating in government, and obtaining a secondary in global health as well as a language citation in Modern Standard Arabic. On campus, I am involved in Crimson EMS, the student-led EMT collegiate EMT service, the Y2Y Homeless Shelter, research, various cultural and religious organizations, and of course, the Harvard Financial Aid Initiative! I am more than happy to answer any questions you may have about being a (FGLI) Student at Harvard, the Harvard Experience, or anything else on your mind!
