Hi y’all! My name is Nia, and I am a senior in Cabot House concentrating in Government with a secondary (aka minor) in Economics. I am from Texas, but I grew up in a military family and spent a lot of time in Southern California and the D.C., Maryland, and Virginia area (DMV). I am passionate about public service and fostering community, so when I am not interacting with students as a UMRP coordinator, I spend most of my time volunteering with the Phillips Brooks House Association and serving as a Peer Advising Fellow for first-year students. I’m also a big proponent of leaving the “Harvard Bubble,” so you can find me exploring Boston and eating lots of good food on the weekends! As a high school student, I was fortunate enough to have mentors who helped me navigate the college application process and assured me that there was a place for me at Harvard (which was true!), but I know firsthand how intimidating it can be to apply to and attend highly selective universities, so I hope to be a support for prospective and admitted students like you.
