Biography
Hey! I’m S. Kim (he/him) and I’m a senior in Lowell House. I’m originally from Los Angeles, CA, and I served as the 2018 Los Angeles County Youth Poet Laureate. I’m concentrating in Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies with a secondary in Theater, Dance & Media.
I’ve written and produced original musicals and plays at Harvard and in Boston, including ISCARIOT: THE MUSICAL (a heretical gaysian love story), which I created and produced. The musical re-imagines Judas Iscariot as a queer 3rd gen Asian American student at a glitzy high school in Los Angeles. I have interned at the American Repertory Theater and been involved with the Harvard-Radcliffe Dramatic Club, Harvard-Radcliffe Gilbert and Sullivan Players, and Harvard Asian Student Arts Project. I also served as co-lyricist/librettist for the annual First-Year Musical. I’m also a staff writer for the Harvard Crimson Arts. I’ve taken two gap years and studied abroad in Venice. Outside of Harvard, I love coffee, plants, and Angels in America. Ask me about queer stuff, studying abroad, taking time off, and exploring Boston!
