Biography

Hi everyone! I’m Sophie and I’m a sophomore in Lowell House. I’m originally from Los Angeles, CA, and I served as the 2018 Los Angeles County Youth Poet Laureate. I took a gap year before coming to Harvard, and while I haven’t declared my concentration yet, I am currently taking courses in Women, Gender & Sexuality Studies, Theater, and English. On campus, I served as co-lyricist/librettist for the annual First-Year Musical, and have assistant directed and produced multiple Harvard student theater productions. I am a board member of the Harvard-Radcliffe Dramatic Club (HRDC), the Harvard-Radcliffe Gilbert & Sullivan Players (HRG&SP), and Asian Student Arts Project (ASAP). I am also a staff writer for Crimson Arts. Outside of Harvard, I write plays and screenplays, make films, write and perform in original shows with an intergenerational LGBTQ+ writers' group, and watch lots of sad gay movies. Feel free to reach out, I’d love to meet you!
