Ritmo Latino is more than a party; to start it is a culinary journey through the countries of Latin America. As soon as you step into the event, you're greeted by tables featuring traditional foods from different regions—each dish tells a story of history, resilience, and heritage. From savory empanadas to sweet flan, the food represents the flavors of countries like Mexico, Colombia, Peru, and many more. Throughout the event, Fuerza Latina also ensures that the history of each country is honored. Attendees can learn about key historical facts and traditions, and the contributions of Latin American communities around the world.

This year’s Ritmo Latino featured a range of beautiful performances celebrating Latine/x talent on campus. Highlights included a film on the First Generation College student experience and Latine/x identity, a soulful musical performance blending modern and traditional Latin American sounds, and a vibrant dance by Ballet Folklórico showing the richness of Mexican culture. Mariachi Veritas energized the crowd with a lively mariachi performance, while poetry readings touched on themes of identity, belonging, and cultural pride, beautifully reflecting the diverse Latinx experience.
