Dear Harvard College Students,

I write to invite you to a memorial gathering that will be held on Harvard campus for Luke Tang ’18, in celebration and recognition of his life. Many of us knew Luke as a bright and supportive classmate, a true friend, and mentor. He had a passion for teaching, was a promising musician, and his passing is still felt by his family, friends, and all of us in the College community.

His service will start at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, September 16, in the Sanctuary of the Memorial Church. Following the service, we will move to the Lowell House Junior Common Room, for a reception hosted by Lowell House, where all are encouraged to spend time together in reflection with his family, who will be in attendance. All Harvard College community members are welcome to celebrate Luke’s life, and honor him and his family.

The doors of the Memorial Church will open at 6:30 p.m. for those who would like to arrive early. I look forward to honoring Luke’s life at tomorrow’s service.
