Dear Harvard College Students,
I hope that you are finding your classes and activities this semester thought-provoking and enriching. My colleagues and I have been hard at work on issues that are critically important to the College, including strengthening the General Education program and academic support services and creating opportunities for social engagement. In addition, we have been focusing much of our attention on building a greater sense of inclusion in the Harvard community.
With that in mind, I am writing to invite you to the first in a series of town hall events hosted by the College’s Office for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, in collaboration with the Harvard Foundation, this semester to discuss student-administration collaboration on initiatives to create a more equitable and inclusive Harvard community. This event will serve as the first in a series of Town Halls and I’m delighted it will conclude this year’s Cultural Rhythms Festival. I am looking forward to a productive conversation – and most importantly, to hearing your thoughts and ideas.
I hope to see many of you on Sunday, and encourage you to share this invitation across social media.
