Biography
Hello! My name is Farah, and I am a sophomore living in Pforzheimer House. I plan on concentrating in social studies with a focus field in ethnicity and migration and a language citation in Arabic. I was born just outside of Cairo, Egypt but have lived in the Detroit metropolitan area for the past 17 years. Outside of classes, I am mainly interested in community organizing and advocacy through the Philips Brooks House Association (PBHA), a non-profit on campus that links students to advocacy and service programs in the Greater Boston area and beyond. Through PBHA, I find my greatest joy tutoring immigrant and refugee children. I am also a member of the Society of Arab Students and the Harvard Islamic Society, two communities that have helped me build a family here at Harvard. In my free time, you can usually find me biking along the Charles River or playing card games with my friends. I am beyond excited to be working with the Harvard Financial Aid Initiative for my second year and look forward to helping you as you embark on your own college application journey. Feel free to reach out to me with any questions!
