We want financial literacy to be a part of your life. Your overall health is important to us, and we have focused our resources on providing support and education in many areas of personal health—including financial understanding— for all students.

The more you know, and the more tools you have at your disposal, the better prepared you will be for life at and beyond Harvard.

Financial literacy resources

We have developed the following resources for you.


A budget, quite simply, is a plan for your money.  By tracking your income and expenses, you can create a plan for your spending and saving. Explore some budget ideas.


Credit is your reputation as a borrower.  In order to work on having a good reputation, credit wise,  you should view your credit report and know your credit score.  Find out more about these credit tools.

Saving and Investing

Figuring out how to secure your financial well being is one of the most important things you can do for yourself.  Read some tips on saving and investing.


Do you need to file taxes?  Are you aware of the tax benefits for Education?  Find out the answers to these important tax related questions.
