Imaan Mirza
Category UMRPBiography
Hi! My name is Imaan Mirza, and I’m a senior living in Mather House studying History & Literature and Arabic. My family is from Lahore, Pakistan, but I grew up in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. I now call Fishers, Indiana, home. Before joining Harvard, I deferred enrollment and spent an amazing gap year in Alaska, Indiana, and Pakistan — an experience I wrote about for Harvard Admissions. On campus, I serve as an editor with the Harvard Advocate, the nation’s oldest literary magazine and volunteer with the Title IX Student Advisory group. As an immigrant, I found the American college application process confounding. I’d love to help demystify the process by answering any and all questions you may have about Harvard: the application process, academics, extracurriculars, social life, and anything else on your mind!
