Imaan MirzaCategory UMRP
Hi friends! My name is Imaan Mirza (she/her), and I’m a first-year at the College living in Thayer Hall. My family is from Lahore, Pakistan, but I grew up in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. I now call the lovely Midwestern suburbs of Fishers, Indiana, home. I hope to study Government or History, but I’m still very undecided! On campus, I’m involved in the Institute of Politics, where I write for the Harvard Political Review and volunteer with the CIVICS program. I’m on the board for the Harvard Islamic Society and serve as a Head Skit Writer for a South Asian student production called Ghungroo. I absolutely love reading fantasy and magic realism, playing foosball, and eating cereal at any and all times of the day. As an immigrant, navigating the American college application process was challenging (read: terrifying). I’d be honored to make the process a little easier and serve as a resource for your questions about Harvard, the application process, gap years, and anything else on your mind!
