Hey y’all! My name is Olga, and I am a senior studying Economics with a secondary in Government as well as pursuing a citation in Russian. I am from right outside of Fort Lauderdale, FL, but on campus I live in Winthrop House. Outside of class, I am primarily involved with the Ballroom Dance Team as well as the Harvard International Review. In addition, I am really interested in Russian economics and politics, so I have been involved with research on these topics as well. Although I’m in my final year of college, I haven’t forgotten how intimidating the application process was. As a low-income student and the first in my family to attend college in the U.S., I had no clue how I would fit in at a school like Harvard. However, resources such as those provided by HFAI have played a crucial role in making this place feel like a second home, and I hope to use my experiences to help other students navigate the application process as well. If you have any questions about applying or about what life at Harvard is like as a low-income student, please reach out to me! I look forward to hearing from you!
