Marilynn
Category UMRPBiography
Hi! My name is Marilynn, and I’m a sophomore affiliated with Currier House, originally from rural Vineland, New Jersey. I am concentrating in Sociology with a (possible!) secondary in Economics. I proudly identify as a low-income, first-generation student. My parents immigrated here from Mexico to provide me with wonderful opportunities, and I’ve stayed in touch with my roots through social activism. I have a deep love for my communities and public service work, so alongside my courses, I’m proud to say I’m involved in Primus’s Exec Board, Latinx’s in Finance and Technology, the Harvard Legal Aid Bureau, Harvard’s Public School Partnerships, and the Engaged Mindich Scholarship as a student advisor. These organizations have really made Harvard feel like home. I love baking, backyard farm animals, and exploring new cities. Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions!
