Hi there! My name is Amy and I’m a senior in Leverett House. I’m concentrating in Social Studies with a secondary in Art, Film, & Visual Studies in the Film Production track! While I grew up in suburban New York, I was born in Ecuador and am a proud member of the Saraguro indigenous community. I’ve found my community at Harvard through advocacy, community service, and cultural organizations. Currently, I’m the Co-President of Harvard LiFT (Latinos in Finance & Technology), a Tour Coordinator for Crimson Key Society, and play violin/sing in Harvard’s one & only mariachi band. Recently, I’ve also discovered spaces on campus to explore my interest in filmmaking and collaborate with other artists! Having grown up undocumented and low-income, I’m very passionate about public service and accessibly to higher education. During my free time, you would probably find me at Lincoln skatepark in Cambridge or working on my next short film! I’m so excited to be working with the UMRP for a third year and can’t wait to hear from you! Feel free to reach out to me 😊
