Biography

Hello! My name is Kathleen, and I’m a senior concentrating in Molecular and Cellular Biology on the pre-med track. I’m currently living in Mather House (the best house!), but growing up I lived in both the beautiful states of Montana and Texas. Outside of classes, I’m involved in the Harvard Biotechnology Club, Wellness Educators, Latines in Health Careers, and I conduct sepsis research at a local hospital in Boston. Though I'm a senior now, the college application process feels like it was just yesterday! I remember being stressed out writing college essays and figuring out how to fill out financial aid forms. Reaching out to the right people and resources was intimidating and confusing — which is why I now work with the Harvard First Generation Program (HFGP) to tackle that barrier. I’m here to offer my support from a first-gen perspective as you enter this complex, but ultimately rewarding, application process. Please don’t be afraid to reach out with any questions you may have—HFGP is always just an email away!
