Biography

Hey everybody! My name is Raymond, and I am a sophomore at Harvard College studying the intersection between neuroscience and psychology. I call Pittsburgh home, but now I live in Currier House—objectively the best house at the College! Alongside my interest in the works of the mind and brain, I am fascinated by all things botanical and musical. On campus, you’ll find me singing with the Harvard-Radcliffe Collegium Musicum, one of the choirs at Harvard. Off-campus, you can find me geeking out over plants, biking around Boston, and pondering whether utopias can really exist—all while sharing the joy with friends! As a first-generation college student, I discovered many challenges when applying to college. Navigating the college process—both pre- and post-application—felt like treading in uncharted waters, but people helped me through the highs and lows. As a coordinator at the Harvard First Generation Program (HFGP), I want to help you the way my friends, family, and mentors helped me, whether by answering questions, chatting, or simply sharing what it’s like to be a student at Harvard!
