Resources for First Generation Harvard Students
Harvard Financial Aid Initiative (HFAI) partners with First Generation Harvard Alumni to help current students meet alumni mentors and also invites first generation students on campus to attend special dinners each semester. While first generation students come from a variety of financial backgrounds, the financial aid initiative that increased the number of students from lower income backgrounds simultaneously added to the number of first generation students at Harvard. And HFAI supports students not only through generous financial aid but also special programs like the Student Events Fund and the Winter Coat Fund.
