Denzel
Biography
Hey everyone! My name is Denzel and I’m a current senior from Boston, Massachusetts who is living in Currier House. By the time you’re reading this, I’m quickly approaching the inevitable time in which I’ll be handed my piece of paper stating that I concentrated in Mechanical Engineering with a secondary in Astronomy. Outside of classes though, I’m a big inventor and genuinely love bringing my wildest ideas to life. From projects ranging from custom built 25 MPH electric skateboards to a Spiderman mask that tracks your eye movements to actual satellites that have been sent up into space, there’s no limit to my imagination or what I’ll create in the future. On campus, I’m a member of the Black Men’s Forum and Nigerian Student Association as well as several STEM-focused organizations such as Harvard Computer Society (HCS), Harvard Undergraduate Automotive Society (HUAS), Harvard Rocketry Propulsion Group (HRPG), and Harvard Students for the Exploration and Development of Space (SEDS). Moving away from all of that though, I enjoy drawing, baking/cooking, running, video games, and skateboarding as they’re all activities that allow me to detox and rejuvenate after a stressful day. I also was one of the editors for the 2023 Currier Housing Day video (if you haven’t seen it, heavily recommend). If you have any questions about life at Harvard as an engineer or just want to chat about cool tech and space, feel free to reach out!
