We recently asked 5 Harvard students to share stories about what has made their Harvard experience unique. Their statements help to paint a picture of what students value the most during their time on campus. What is most evident from all their responses is that the people they interact with on a daily basis play a significant role in the shaping of their lives.

“As an international student, the international community on campus is really important to me because this is one of the major reasons that makes Harvard a vastly different experience than attending a university in my home country. I especially value the time and effort that professors invest in us students outside of the classroom to help us advance our career goals both here in the U.S. and abroad.”

“As a member of the Varsity Women's Volleyball team, I am fortunate enough to represent and compete for the university every time I sport my Crimson jersey. Through the Social Studies department, I’ve learned to explore my various academic interests in this interdisciplinary and rigorous concentration. Finally, the friends I've made over hours long Annenberg meals and within my house community have made for such an incredible experience at Harvard.”

“It's a cliche answer, but the friends I've made here are truly one of a kind. Everyone comes from colorful backgrounds, and I truly learn so much from them everyday.”
