Computer Science and Sociology

Hi! My name is Samia. I am a rising junior at the College living in Lowell House. I am from Cambridge, MA. I am a first-generation, low-income student and the daughter of immigrant parents from Bangladesh. I am concentrating in computer science and sociology with a secondary in government and a language citation in Arabic. On campus, I have found my community within the Harvard Islamic Society and BASHA where I am able to immerse myself in my religion and culture through knowledge, socials, food, attire, and events. I also volunteer at the Harvard Square Homeless Shelter under PBHA, a student-run non-profit organization. Feel free to reach out to ask any questions you may have.
