Hungry?

I probably am, too. Luckily for us foodies, there are many eateries near Harvard to discover and enjoy. Whether you’re in the mood for a light snack or a sit-down meal, these places are my top picks when eating out.

BerryLine

This is a Harvard classic. I admit I wasn’t the biggest fan of frozen yogurt before coming here, but now it holds a special place in my heart, especially for late-night snacks with friends.

Distance: 0.2 miles (around a 4-minute walk from the Yard).

My favorite order: Original frozen yogurt with mochi.

Dado Tea

If you’re in the mood for Thai iced tea, look no further. Bonus: It’s in the same direction as BerryLine, so why not treat yourself to both froyo and boba?

Distance: 0.4 miles (around a 9-minute walk from the Yard).

My favorite order: Thai iced tea with boba.

Jade Garden

Whenever I’m craving noodles, spare ribs, or General Tso’s chicken, I know Jade Garden will be there for me. It may be a bit far, but at least it stays open until 3 AM—perfect for spontaneous outings!

Distance: 3.5 miles (after 5 stops inbound to Downtown Crossing on the T, it’s about an 8-minute walk).

My favorite order: Beef udon with saute sauce.

Sugar and Spice

My favorite place for Thai cuisine. While you’re here, consider trying some of the delicious appetizers as well.

Distance: 1.1 miles (either a 25-minute walk from the Yard or 1 stop outbound to Porter Square on the T).

My favorite order: Spicy Pad Thai with pork.

Spring Shabu Shabu

Finally, who doesn’t love hot pot? If you’re hungry enough for all-you-can-eat (unlimited noodles and veggies, but meat costs extra), you’ll enjoy Spring Shabu Shabu as much as I do.

Distance: 1.4 miles (around a 31-minute walk from the Yard).

My favorite order: Pork bone broth with an order of pork belly.
