As college students the days can get pretty busy and chaotic. We all could use a nice spot to rest our eyes for a bit!
As a notorious napper, here is my rating of some of my favorite napping spots around campus:
The Harvard Foundation (Serenity Room)

9.7/10 – Since the serenity room is for peace and quiet, I love going there for my longer “naps” (I should call them “sleeps” at this point!). It’s so cozy and the perfect escape for cold, rainy days.
William James Hall

8.3/10 – I am a William James Hall Regular! I love going to the thirteenth floor after classes in the nearby Science Center. For me this space is optimal for a good 15-30 min nap, and has the most stunning view of campus. Some days the cutest dog named Lola scurries around so it’s perfect to have a furry friend join in!
The Harvard Radcliffe Yard
The lovely Radcliffe courtyard Rahma Gaye
9.2/10 – This is the perfect napping spot on a warm summer day. Something about the huge lawn and summer sun feels so good for a quick, mid-afternoon nap. However, as a person with horrendous spring/summer allergies just make sure you take your medications!
Smith Campus Center Prayer Space

9.8/10 – This is one of my favorite spots! The view over Harvard Square is so beautiful and the space itself is so quiet. It is perfect for a quick nap between classes, or to just reset for a moment.
Kirkland House Meditation Space

7/10 – The meditation space is so very cozy with plenty of bean bags and my favorite fluffy hammock chair. The only reason why I rate it a bit lower is that it’s simply too comfortable! So be careful, by the time you wake up it may be the next day!
Hicks House Library
Cool picture inside Hicks House! Rahma Gaye
7.2/10 – This is the Kirkland House library, a literal house built in 1762! This is the perfect spot for late night studying and longer naps in between. The house has two floors with multiple rooms filled with books, vintage couches, and huge encyclopedias. While it does feel homey, the little creeks and old portraits can be a little creepy. If you try this place out, beware… you might really be in for a scare!
