When I moved to Cambridge from my small rural town, I had big ambitions for everything I wanted to do on campus and in the city. I have had the opportunity to do many of these things, including kayaking the Charles River, exploring Newbury Street, going to a concert at TD Garden, apple picking, and having a snowball fight, yet there are still a few things that I still haven’t done yet.

As the final semester of my college journey unfolds, I know that there is no better time than now to create lasting memories with my friends and to make the most of my remaining time on campus and in the vibrant city of Boston. From iconic campus traditions to exploring the hidden gems of the city, here's the ultimate senior year bucket list to help you savor every moment before graduation.

Kayaking on the Charles River
My friends and I kayaking on the Charles River!
  1. Watch the Sunrise from Weeks Bridge: Kick-start your senior year by gathering your friends for an early morning adventure. Head to the river with blankets, and hot coffee, and enjoy the tranquility before the hustle of the day begins. It can be hard to find time to rest with your friends, so enjoy this moment of peace together!
  2. Senior Year Photo Shoot: Organize a photo shoot with your friends to commemorate your last year on campus. Choose iconic spots around campus, wear matching outfits, and capture the essence of your friendship. These photos will be cherished memories for years to come.
  3. Attend a Sporting Event in the City: Whether it's football, basketball, baseball, or hockey, attending a live sporting event in Boston is a must! There are such great teams, and it would be a shame not to take advantage of available student tickets.
  4. Campus Scavenger Hunt: Create a personalized scavenger hunt around campus including significant landmarks, favorite hangout spots, and hidden gems. Divide your friend group into teams and compete to see who can complete the challenges and find all the locations first.
  5. Study Abroad Reunion: If you or your friends studied abroad during your time in college, plan a reunion to reminisce and share memories about your favorite cultural events and adventures.
  6. Explore Boston's Historic Neighborhoods: Take a weekend to explore different neighborhoods in Boston. Wander through the cobblestone streets of Beacon Hill, experience Chinatown, and stroll along the historic waterfront in the North End.
  7. Hike the Blue Hills Reservation: Escape the hustle and bustle of city life for a day and hike the trails at the Blue Hills Reservation. Enjoy panoramic views of Boston, breathe in the fresh air, and appreciate nature with your friends.
  8. Attend a Live Performance: Whether it's a Broadway show, a local theater production, or a live concert, experiencing a performance together adds a touch of fun to your senior year. Be sure to check out the different venues in Boston for upcoming events!
  9. Senior Sunset Picnic: As the school year winds down, plan a sunset picnic on campus. Reflect on your time together, share your favorite memories, and look forward to the exciting futures that await each of you.
